FAFSA is Open

The new 2020–21 FAFSA form is here! Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is necessary to determine eligibility for state and federal aid to cover college expenses.
Important Notes to Completing the FAFSA
Each student and one parent should apply for a FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov. Make sure to keep a record of the parent's and student's email addresses, the answers to the security questions, and both FSA IDs in a secure place. You'll need that information to sign the FAFSA.
Complete the 2019-20 FAFSA available at fafsa.gov as soon after October 1 as possible as state grant funds do deplete.
Check the FAFSA submission deadlines for each school to which you apply.
You'll need information from your 2017 tax filing.
After Submitting the FAFSA, you'll receive a Student Aid Report which is necessary to check the status of your FAFSA.
New - The FAFSA is going mobile! For more information, click here!
Free College Week

College Application Week for 2019 is October 21-25 (5:00 p.m.) and volunteers at hundreds of NC high schools will help students submit online applications for admission. During this week, many North Carolina colleges and universities waive their application fees.
NC Residency

The NC Residency determines in-state status for NC public colleges. This is required for ALL applications to NC public colleges to be complete and reduces costs by 30-60%.
Please check out Ms. Thomas guide to RDS to simplify the process.

Parents can check their child's homework assignments, attendance reports, grades and other items from any computer, any time using PowerSchool. Parents will be able to set up their own accounts with access information provided by the school.

It is available to parents and students to download for free as a combined parent and student app from the App Store for the iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch®, and as separate PowerSchool apps for parents and students on Google Play for Android devices.
Mapping Out Your Future with Naviance
