Adobe Photoshop is the industry-standard image editing software, used worldwide by professional photographers, amateur photographers, and designers who want to perfect their digital images by going beyond what is captured by the camera.
Students who have received this Industry Certification are capable of using these credentials as they apply for Careers in Graphic Digital Design, for up to 2 years.
Now That's The Power of CTE!
Career and College Promise
Did you know that students can be licensed in their desired industry prior to graduating High School? Career and College Promise (CCP) gives North Carolina high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to get a "jump-start" and earn college credit toward a two-year or four-year degree while still in high school. Students are dually enrolled in their high school and at Central Piedmont Community College, allowing them to receive both high school and college credit for courses taken through the program. Best of all, CCP classes are tuition-free during the fall, spring and summer semesters. (Non-CMS students are responsible for student fees and insurance fees).

CIAA High School Day
Congratulations to our students who received on-site acceptances during CIAA Highsch Education Day!
CIAA Education Day, is one of the conference’s most popular events during the CIAA Basketball Tournament, reaches more than 6,000 middle and high school students with dedicated programs for each age group. Attendees will be able to meet with college recruiters from Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia face-to-face to learn tips to prepare for college as well as get the inside track on the collegiate experience.
For CIAA Education Day-HSP, there will also be a special presentation honoring students with 4.0 grade point averages. All attendees will have the opportunity to visit the various CIAA institutions’ booths and event vendors.
These programs are free to middle and high school students from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, as well as surrounding North Carolina counties and other states.
Since CIAA came to Charlotte this has been a staple event allowing many students access to colleges for on-site admissions. We will truly miss CIAA High School Day.
